Communication is an essential component in our lives. It is important in our everyday lives. It has been estimated that 75% of a person's day is spent communicating in some way.
Communication is important in business as well. A 1998 study of 480 companies found that employers ranked communication abilities first among the desirable personal qualities of future employees.
In addition, in a survey of recruiters from companies with more than 50,000 employees, communication skills was cited as the single more important decisive factor in choosing managers.
